ॐ नमः शिवाय
Oṁ namaḥ śivāya

O Mahādeva, O Śaṅkara, the destroyer of darkness,
On this sacred night of Mahāśivarātri,
I bow before You with a heart full of devotion,
Seeking Your grace, Your wisdom, and Your eternal presence.

O Neelakaṇṭha, who swallowed the poison to save creation,
Grant me the strength to hold life’s challenges with stillness,
To transform my fears into wisdom,
And to walk the path of truth with unwavering courage.

O Tryambaka, the Three-Eyed One,
Open my inner vision so I may see beyond illusion,
Let me perceive the impermanence of the world,
And realize the formless essence of the Self.

O Natarāja, the cosmic dancer,
Teach me to move in harmony with the rhythm of life,
To embrace both joy and sorrow with equanimity,
And to dissolve the ego in the fire of awareness.

O Pāśupatī, Lord of all beings,
Bless me with compassion for all creatures,
Let my words be kind, my actions selfless,
And my heart free from hatred and attachments.

O Śambhu, the ever-auspicious One,
On this holy night, I surrender my burdens at Your feet,
Purify my mind, body, and soul,
And fill me with the nectar of Your divine presence.

ॐ महादेवाय विद्महे रुद्रमूर्तये धीमहि।
तन्नो शिवः प्रचोदयात्॥
Oṁ Mahādevāya vidmahe Rudramūrtaye dhīmahi |
Tanno Śivaḥ pracodayāt ||

May Your blessings flow upon all beings,
May peace, wisdom, and liberation dawn in our hearts,
And may we always abide in the awareness of the Supreme.
